Hi all,

Today, my sister discovered an embroidered sampler which had been
placed in a picture frame behind another picture. The "outside"
picture has been in our family for over 70 years and no one knew
the sampler was underneath.

We are, of course, hoping it might provide some clues to our
family's history, but we are unable to read it. The writing on
the sampler appears to be in German, with Hebrew or Yiddish
characters in the center of the sampler. It is dated 1891.

can help us translate the words/symbols. We consider this a
major find, and are hopeful that it will lead us into new
