Those researching the name Hart may be interested to know that the Chief
Rabbi of England between 1704 - 1756 was Uri Phaibush ben Naphtali
Hirsch Hamburger of Breslau. He was known in England by the name Aaron
Hart, and had a brother Moses Hart who it appears was a lay leader and
Aaron Hart's successor was Hart Lyon (I don't know if there was a family
connection). His name was originaly Hirsh Lobel and had been the Rabbi
of Berlin for many years.
I hope someone will find this information useful.
