JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen Nice news! Argentina - Nachman EHRLICH #general

Carlos Glikson

Lehava Falkson mentioned
Nachman EHRLICH was a journalist and an actor in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
He was born around 1930. Nobody knows where he is, and it is said he
disappeared, maybe murdered.
Well, I am very glad to tell Lehava - and all - that Nachman ERLICH was very
happy to be alive and well when we spoke in the phone, 15 minutes ago!
Norman / Naum / Nachman will be also very happy to learn more about Lehava
and her search.

Norman ERLICH is a well known actor and humorist in Buenos Aires. He has
acted here and abroad and in different languages, including Hebrew and
Yiddisch.

I only knew about Norman Erlich, not Nachman. But the initial N checked - no
guarantee, but a possible clue. And the approximate birth year checked
too...

He is unlisted in the white pages, but I could reach his phone anyway.
Nachman told me he kept his artistic name Norman, the name I knew, when he
resumed acting in Argentina after some time acting in the US. And the other
family name Lehava mentioned, KUPERSTOCK, also checks with his family. He
was nicely surprised by the search, and very glad he could deny his
dissappearance and eventual murder!

Norman has a web page referred to his acting career - he was a journalist in
his early years, too. The URL is
www.normanerlich.com
and includes pictures and his short biography in Spanish.

Nachman has authorized me to share his contact info with Lehava, which I
will do in a separate mail, and looks forward to her news.

Best wishes!
