Hello genners:
I'm stumped and I'm hoping someone may have some good advice for me.
I'm trying to locate my husbands grandfather, Elias BLOOM's , death
certificate. So far, I know the following. He's buried in the Washington
Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY. I have his burial date, and a photo of his
headstone. >from that I learned that his father was Dov. But I checked
the NY death records and he didn't die in NY. I also have his ship
manifest, naturalization records and 1910 census. I'd like to know his
parents name so I can do some research in Poland.
Is there centralized record system on-line that can tell you where a
person died if you have their name and death date? Probably not, but it
would be nice. Also he died in 1917, so he died before Social Security.
Thanks and all...and Happy Passover
