Fed up with the long, hot and sometimes, as it's the UK, not so hot
summer? Need a fix of genealogy and to chat with like-minded family tree researchers? Able to come to Gants Hill next Tuesday? Just a reminder that all are welcome to the Jewish Genealogical Society of Great Britain East of London Group's next meeting: *Tell Us About Your Family History* evening Tuesday, 27th August 2002 at 7.45pm. Ilford Synagogue 22 Beehive Lane Gants Hill Essex Nearest underground station is Gants Hill on the Central Line Car drivers can get routes >from their doorstep at http://www.mapquest.co.uk We want you to tell us about your family's past, however little or much you know, and we'll all try to help with any brick walls! Our special guest will be journalist and trade unionist Francis Beckett, son of a Mosley Blackshirt, who will also be telling us about the extraordinary twists and turns of his family history and why he has joined the JGSGB. On display will be a number of leaflets, books, computer resources and other information for browsing through with the last half hour of the meeting a chance to socialize over tea and biscuits. Entry is £1 for JGSGB members and £2 for non-members including refreshments.
