This is a large collection (about 12,000 pages) with valuable information on
both pre-war and post-war Jewish communities in Wuerttemberg. A finding aid
will shortly be available at the GerSIG website.
In the meantime, if persons are interested in the Wuertemberg / Stuttgart
Jewish Community document collection, they may email me and I will forward
a copy of the finding aid for these documents that I have compiled.
There seems to be a misunderstanding about these collections. Only a few
components of these collections have not been digitized, particularly a list
of families who had survived due to special treatment available in the case
of mixed marriages.
What is wanted is interested researchers to volunteer to perform this
service for community information of particular interest to you. The most
extensive information in this collection relates to Stuttgart and Ulm but
there are smaller lists relating to Hechingen, Haigerloch, Dellmensingen,
Herrlingen, Oberdorf am Ipf, Sigmaringen, Laupheim and Buchau. Who is
interested and willing to help?
