The law may have changed recently but, typically, a UK marriage licence has no 'period of validity'. It specifies the date and place of the marriage. When I took my elder daughter to the Register Office to give notice of her marriage, I enquired whether I could move the chupo indoors in case of inclement weather. The Registrar insisted that the the wedding had to take place precisely as stated on the certificate. Regards Perets Mett
