JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen Social Security Death Index-When a location is not given #general

Dear Fellow Jewishgenners,

Maybe I am forgetting something. I found a possible match
on the SSDI to a person whose family I am trying to track
down. The issuance state is given, but a death residence
locality *is not*.

I already checked the NYC Death Indices to see if he died
within the confines of the 5 boroughs. He did not. What
else can I do? The family moved around alot, so the chances
that he died in the same state as the State of Issuance
(Pennsylvania) are fairly slim.

How can I find where he died so I can order the death certificate???

Thank you very much for whatever help you can give.

Sincerely,

David Priever
