I also first thought "tia" was someone's hispanic aunt.
Within certain internet circles, abbreviations are quite common, as if
somehow we don't have the time to type full words. Maybe they're just
used to that newfangled "text messaging"?
Anyway, I learned that "tia" in American computer-speak means "thanks in
