JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen More Miedzyrzec Podlaski indices online #general
Mila Begun <mmbegun@...>
Dear Miedzyrzec researchers -- good news. I've just learned that
another set of transliterated indices >from the LDS filmed vital records for years 1835 to 1840 (inclusive) has been placed on line on the JRI Poland data base. This includes birth, marriage and death indices. Our Miedzyrzec Podlaski Shtetl CO-OP team has been working steadily to bring you this searchable data base. We previously completed years 1826 through 1834 which are also available for searching. So sign on to http://www.jewishgen.org/jri-pl/ and click on "search the database" and search for your family names. Don't forget to add the family names you are researching to the JewishGen Jewish Genealogy Family Finder (JGFF) at http://www.jewishgen.org/jgff/ for more opportunities to connect to other people who are researching the same family names. Our transliteration work continues. We have now completed transliterating the indices >from four out of the total of seven film reels. As soon as this batch of work is proofread, we will submit it for online searching. Thank you all for your support and interest. For any inquiries on this Miedzyrzec project, I prefer that you contact me at MMBegun@..., not the email address on this message. Thanks. Mila M.
