JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen Re: SS Roma that arrived in Providence RI Dec 1922 #general
Susan&David
http://www.cimorelli.com/ has the Roma on its list for December 1922.
I am working on a database of immigrant arrivals into Boston,
Massachusetts that includes some persons who came in to Providence. So far
I have not seen anyone >from the Roma in 1922, but I have recorded other
sailings of that ship.
Passengers identify their last place of residence as Egypt, Turkey,
Palestine, Constantinople, Armenia and Marseille.
It appears that the ship's usual course took it to several stops in the
Mediterranean before it made its way to the US

I have been searching the internet for 2 hours and the only info I
could find that matched was a story about someone coming on an Italian
steamship Roma in 1914 and someone else who arrived in NYC >from Naples
on the Roma in 1906.
How do I find out info about this ship and it's place of departure.
