The previous President of Ben Gurion University was
the late Joseph Tekoa(Tukochinsky). He died about a
decade ago.During WW2 he was in Shanghai and after
1948 joined Israel's Foreign Service. Among other
positions he held was Ambassador to the UN
(1968-1974).
