I was told that there is no mother's last name mentioned on View mate 3874 which is
a birth certificiate >from Kotsk, Lublin, Poland in 1844. Is it normal to not have
a mother's last name on a birth certificate >from this era? Should I see if his
brothers birth certificates list his mother's last name?
