Hello, Dear Genners!
The state of Israel is already 56 y/o (we're just in the end of the Independence
Day here), but my mysteries are much much older... ;-). Thanks to good colleagues,
I've made some steps forward since my previuos message last week. Now, I'm asking
your help in making some further steps in this derection.
My quetsions now concentrate on the following issues:
* how can I locate the following BRUMBERG's descendants? (maybe through the
* how can I find Sam's/Bashia's death record/place?
* what kind of document will mention Sam's parents?
Here is what I've got till now:
Sam BRUMBERG (aka Schimen/Schiwen in his entries through Ellis Island in 1903,
1913), born in 1873/1877, emigrated to the USA >from Krasilov, Ukraine.
In 1903 (in EI manifest), he mentioned his brother-in-law "David WAKSMAN, c/o
Abram KOFFMAN, 49 Ludlow Street, Manhattan". In 1913, it is his brother-in-law
"SARDINSKY, 2195 Fifth Avenue, NYC".
In 1930 census we find him with his wife: Bashia (born 1879) and their daughters:
Lena (b. 1903), Rose (b. 1906), both born in Krasilov. Because Sam and Bashia's
children are both daughters - I find it hard to trace them. I couldn't find them
in the SSDI either.
Any help regarding the above questions will be of much help!
