Does this refer to FOIA requests previously sent to INS?
Or is it for any genealogy-related FOIA request,
regardless of the U.S.government office involved?

I just had a phone call >from a very helpful lady who works out of the
in Lee's Summit, MO. While I had her on the phone I decided to clarify
few things. She told me that all genealogy requests are now being

They will also accept requests by fax. Verification of death is
