I don't know if this request is too much to ask for, but I'd be very happy
if one my fellow genners in Israel would willing to do a look-up for me in
the Central Zionist Archives in Jerusalem. I'm looking for any information
on two brothers who immigrated >from Odessa to Alexandria, then to Palestine
around the turn of the 20th century. One died there in 1922, which might be
too early for the archives that are in Hebrew rather than Turkish. But the
other died in the 1960's, so he might be included in the 1939 Jerusalem
Census - or, better, the 1942 Electoral Lists because I don't know where
they lived in Palestine.
Of course I'd be willing to pay any expenses.
If you're willing, please reply privately to sorlen@...
