I have been following the discussion about the name Chasha or Khasya. For whatever
it means, my paternal family sometimes called me "Basia Kasha" which I (as a
child) always assumed was just a rhyme referring to my Yiddish name and the
popular food. Who knew that I was missing the larger picture, and the name may
have had a much deeper meaning!!
(Or maybe they just meant it as the simple rhyme that I heard.)
Personally, I hate puns, except for synonym puns, which are good for
breakfast, with coffee.
