Can someone please tell me if a 1946 death certificate >from California might give the place of birth of the deceased's *father* or *mother*?
A California death certificate will list this information *only* if the informant knew it. I have a California death certificate >from 1933 that lists both birth town and country for the parents of the decedent. However, I have later death certificates that list only the country of birth -- as that was all the informant knew.
