I am trying to locate any information about a grand aunt, Scheine MITTLEMAN,
daughter of Beckro and Yetta Mittleman of Kiev, Russia. Scheine came to the United
States on February 19, 1906 on the S.S. Umbria >from Liverpool accompanied by her
sister Rose Mittleman POLONSKY and Rose's husband, Morris Polonsky, a watchmaker.
According to the ship's mainifest her destination was the home in Brooklyn, N.Y.
of her brother in law, Alexander Polonsky. A picture of her dated April 17, 1923
is signed Scheine Katd____. We have no further details.
