Dear Evertjan and Genners,

Above site refers to Opole known as Oppeln in Upper Silesia (Germany) till 1945
when territory was allocated to Poland, and town name has been changed.

Opole Lubelskie (Town researched by Linda Saifman) is located in Pulawy district
of Lublin Province, Poland. It was known just as Opole till 1945 but word
"Lubelski" has been added in order to differentiate >from the town named Opole in
Silesia.
You are undoubtedly right.

However it seems the OQ was confused by the word "Opoler", not realizing that in
German/Yiddish this means [can mean]:

"Opolean" [both as an adjective and as an male inhabitant]
