Hello GerSig,
I just joined your group. I have been doing genealogy research for a couple
of months. The only live relative on the LEISY side of the family is Arthur
E. LEISY born in 1918 in Texas USA and he doesn't have any information other
than his father and grandfather's names. It is rumored that a LEISY left
Alsace Lorraine to join LaFayette in 1777 on his trip to the US. I consider
myself to be a beginner in doing German Jewish Genealogy research.
I live in urban Las Cruces, State of New Mexico and Nation of the USA.
My native language is English and I know no other languages.
I consider myself an intermediate in using a computer. My experience in
using the internet is intermediate.
I have identified the names and birth and death dates of my grandparents and
of my great grandparents.
My primary research goals now are to find out where my relatives are >from in
Germany and my Jewish Heritage.
My JewishGen ID no. is 587992.
The family name and ancestral town that I have entered in the JGFF
(JewishGen Family Finder is John Henry LEISY >from Lebanon, Pennsylvania from
1842 to 1889.
Albert Franklin LEISY born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania USA in 1876 and died in
Sand Springs, Oklahoma in 1951. Wife named Minnie Dollar born in Mississippi
USA in 1887 and died in Oklahoma in 1942.
John Henry LEISY born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania USA in 1842 and died in 1889.
A grocer in 1885 in Gibbon, Nebraska. Wife named Sabrana Annora Brown born
in Pennsylvania USA in 1858. Their children were Albert F LEISY, John George
LEISY, Arthur E. LEISY, Esther LEISY Fritz, Ellen LEISY Berrens and
Onesinius Lafayette LEISY.

If your ancestor was Jewish, he should be included in Rabbi Malcolm Stern's
