Hi Genners:

Coming across a headstone with weeds growing around it may be a hiding place for
spiders, especially the dangerous Brown Recluse spider which is mainly found in
southern states. By using a cane or a stick and running it back and forth in the
weeds will usually cause this "shy" spider to leave, and perhaps other unwanted
guests. Wearing long pants, long sleeves or gloves, is not a guarantee you will
not be bitten.

Bites can be >from mild reaction to severe. My daughter was bitten by a Brown
Recluse spider on her leg and had a severe reaction.

Regards,
Joanie
