JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen Re: NYC Conference Accommodations #general

Tom made an excellent point in reiterating the cost of the room rate at the
Marriott Marquis is $208.00.
I attended the NY Conference in 1999, staying at the Marriott, a sensible
decision.
Attending seminars and other activities >from early in the morning - 8 AM -
leaving around 10 PM to retire each evening after an exhausting day - one
had only to take the elevator to return to his/her room.

Keep in mind the opportunities of networking with other attendees, etc.
I heartily agree with Hilary's and Schelly's assessment of the virtues of a
hotel room in the Conference venue.
And I might add, the Marriott is a comfortable walk to the Fifth Avenue
Library - as well as easy access to other research locations.

Among the many members of our JGSPBCI who attended the Las Vegas Conference,
6 or 7 enthusiastically reported results of their networking experiences at
today's Membership meeting Program.

Members were encouraged to begin thinking about the NY Conference now - it
will be more than well worth it - in every aspect!
