JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen Thanks to all at JewishGen, and, still searching #general

Hello. Over the last several years I have been trying to locate the only
unaccompanied children rescued >from the Holocaust by American individuals,
families and organizations. This is still a relatively unknown part of
American history. These children have become known as the One Thousand
Children, as this is the number of unaccompanied children believed to have
been rescued between 1934 and 1945 by bringing them to the US and placing
them with relatives and foster families, until and if they could be
reunited with their families. I am still looking for these "children" now in
their 70,s and 80,s. They came to America without their parents whom they
left in Europe or elsewhere to escape Nazi persecution and were up to 16
years old when they left. I would love to hear >from you if you are one of
these children and have not contacted me as yet. My thanks to so many of
you who have helped me in my search through JewishGen over the last years.
