I think I might have stumbled upon something that might just unlock my
SNOPARSKY family mystery.
I recently discovered a piece of paper with a note regarding a Pola
SZNAPARSKI who arrived at the Port of Quebec in Sept 1922. She was born in
*Pavalatsch* about 1905 and her destination was her brother Abe DANIEL who
lived at 2525 Hastings St. in Detroit.
In 1925 I found Borich SCHNAPORSKI who was born about 1906 in *Pavalich*
crossing the border >from Canada to visit someone in Detroit.
According to the WWI registration I have Abe DANIEL born 1891 in *Pavoltz,
Kiev* residing at 465 Hastings St. in Detroit.
It indicates that he was the sole supporter of his family in Russia.
The 1930 Census indicates that Abraham DANIEL immigrated in 1913; was
proprietor of a fish market; was 39 years old and married to Sophia. They
had a daughter Sylvia who was born in 1923. Abraham's mother Anna, a widow
age 63 also lived with them. It looks like she immigrated in 1927.
According to the SS records, Abraham died in 1980 in Detroit.
Does anyone know or know of the family of Abraham, Sophia and Sylvia DANIEL
of Detroit? Any information would be most appreciated!
As usual, thank you all for your time and for all of the wonderful support,
advice and suggestions.
