Our lecturer for the evening is Retired Ambassador Neville Lamdan. He is a
seasoned Jewish genealogist, active since 1978. His current research focus:
"Village Jews in 19th Century Minsk Gubernya =96 their life and times".
Neville's archival experience includes: three in-depth visits to archives in
Belarus (1998, 2001, 2004) plus several other national and private archives.
The lecture will deal with research in former Soviet bloc archives in
general, with examples >from his three visits to archives in the Minsk
Gubernya and other archives. He will discuss preparation for such trips in
order to get the most out of them.

The meeting will take place on Monday March 6, 2006 at Beit Hatanach, 16
Rothschild Blvd., Tel-Aviv, at 19:00. The meeting will be in Hebrew.
Entrance is free for members. There is a 20 shekel entrance fee for
non-members. You are cordially invited to use our library which is open from
18:00-18:45, and consult other members about your genealogy quests.
