I use 1-800-FREE (3733) 411 all the time >from my land line and my cell. I just checked the # again. It works perfectly. The recording says: "Welcome to 1-800-FREE-411". Then the recording asks: "What city and state please." There are no advertisements, no delay, and you can ask for a # anywhere in the US for *free*.
