For those of us researching family lost in the Shoah, recent news reports that
Germany is about to allow greater access to its archives at Bad Arolsen, where
30 - 50 million Nazi era documents are held, including about 17 million records
of Hitler's victims. The U.S. Holocaust Museum and several countries have been
negotiating for years and treaty nations are scheduled to meet in May in
Luxembourg to formalize the access arrangements. This may enable survivors and
victims' families finally to find out what happened to our relatives.
