Conference on Jewish Genealogy held recently in New York City. Thirty of our
JGSPBCI members attended the Conference and have returned with a wealth of
genealogical information to share with us.
President Dennis Rice and several other members will highlight meetings and
lectures they attended.
New time for Brick Wall Session:

experts will be available to help members solve research problems. Questions
will be accepted >from the floor. For further information about the Brick
Wall program or to submit questions in advance, e-mail Program Chairperson
Harvey Brown: email@example.com.

am. Come and learn of the activities, experiences and what is new in the
field of Belarus research.
Yad Vashem and Pages of Testimony
Our JGSPBCI program is off to a good start. "P.O.T.s" are starting to come
in. Volunteers are recruiting other volunteers and several organizations
have been contacted and are joining our JGSBPC in recording Pages of
Testimony >from families and friends.
To date, only a little more than half of the six million Holocaust victims
have been recorded in the Names Database www.yadvashem.org and time is
running out as survivors pass on and memories of friends and relatives fade.
"Pages of Testimony" (only one page is needed per victim) will be available
at our September 13th meeting. Volunteers will be provided for anyone who
needs assistance in filing a P.O.T.
