JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen Polish Resistance Movements WWII #general

Connie Fisher Newhan

Following a recent trip to Warsaw, I now find I need to research the
various resistance groups in Poland during W.W.II, especially the Armia Ludowa (AL)
and Gwardia Ludowa (GL) groups. I've done Google searches and other than
finding some articles on Wikipedia I haven't come up with much. Some of the
articles I've found contradict each other. For instance, one says the Gwardia
Ludowa was absorbed by the Armia Krajowa. Another says the GL was a part of
the AL. I am trying to get a better idea of these groups so that I may try
to apply some of the information to my family research.
Can anyone recommend other sources or books for me to look at? I read
English only, so that may limit my resources.

Best Regards,
