18th Chai Anniversary Meeting

We are very proud to feature Ann Rabinowitz as our speaker for our 18th
anniversary brunch meeting. Ann will speak about exciting new genealogical
databases on the web and their connection to Lithuanian genealogy. Her talk
is entitled "What's New on the Web."

Ann is a former JGS of Greater Miami officer and "Branches" newsletter editor
and is research coordinator for the South Africa SIG, as well as coordinator
for the Kupiskis SIG, and is involved in the Rokiskis and Sapiskis SIGs and
the Vabalninkas group. She is also knowledgeable about Ukrainian, Manchester
England and Irish Jewry.

Ann has written numerous articles which have been published in Dorot, Jewish
Affairs and other publications and has given talks and participated in
seminars at several IAJGS conferences, JGS meetings and other gatherings.
She is best known for her many databases, which can be found on the SA SIG
and JewishGen websites, and her involvement with family tree development for
such large-scale families as Hillman, Lapidus, Mirvis, Sachar and Yodaiken,
as well as recent interest in connecting families via DNA testing.

Ann is also scheduled to talk about South Africa Jewry at the JGS of Palm
Beach County February 28.

We will be having a light brunch. Please RSVP to Barbara Musikar so Caryl
Chassman knows how much food to prepare.
