Diana asked about finding the cemetery. The cemetery is listed on the NY death
certificate...it is a two step procedure;
first find the death date and place:
1.The social security death listing should give you the place they died.

or, if it was before 1948, look it up on the italiangen index
http://www.italiangen.org/NYCdeathsearch.asp

2.order one of the death certficates >from the ny municipal archives if it was
before 1948 http://www.italiangen.org/NYC_Death_Form.htm or the board of health if
it was after 1948...http://home2.nyc.gov/html/records/html/vitalrecords/death.shtml
