JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen Re: Jewish cemetery websites #general

There are a number of good websites of "virtual cemeteries" and a simple search
will find them. The most systematic one is probably the best since aside >from
mapping and documenting matzevot, there is an attempt to do a complete cemetery.

JewishGen itself has the JOWBR db, but more needs to be done and volunteers are
always welcome, as you know. It really boils down to what your research
requirements are, since photos of matzevot are ok if they are readable, but
someone must translate them to get the data.

I would be interested to learn which websites that present data >from Jewish
cemeteries (photographs of tombstones, translations of tombstone information,
background of community, etc.) are considered by list members to be 'top of the
line' in terms of the information provided, aesthetics, and ease of use.
