JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen Erma and Kurt SCHLESINGER, son Henry #general

I am stuck on locating this individual. I thought I would look to those New
Yorkers for help. Erma and Kurt lived in New York City by Central Park. They
divorced in 1945. Henry was born in approx. 1931. Erma's maiden name is PINKUS.
Kurt owned a medical supply company and later a nail polish maker in the late
40's and 1950's. He owned extensive real estate in New York City. Erma's
siblings were Heinz, Thea, and Edith. Erma's parents were Rose and Louis PINKUS,
who left Germany and relocated during the Holocaust to La Paz, Bolivia. I
believe Kurt is still alive and wealthy. Therefore I am concerned that
he know that I do not desire anything >from him but stories, family
information, and photos.

This incredible discussion group has helped me in so many ways over the
last year with locating family and ideas for searching. My father was Heinz, who
changed his name to Frank Thomas and lived illegally in the U.S. for nearly 30
years. He died in 1975 shortly after finding his sister, Edith. We all enter
genealogy for different reasons. Mine is that until 2 years before my father's
death, I knew nothing of who he was or where he came from. I long to
fill this whole for my children and grandchildren. I never knew my
grandparents or aunts. Discussions about my father and his past were
very controlled and limited. He received his green card just a few
months before he died. Before that, he did not feel safe to share much
of anything.

Thank you for your help.
