For your information three more legislative updates for US states regarding access
to vital records:

1. Iowa House File 2548 amends existing law to provide birth, marriage, annulment ,
and death records may be inspected and copied under the open records law if they
are located at the state archivist and 75 years old or in custody at the county
recorders office.

2.New Hampshire SB 461 makes birth records after 100 years and marriage, divorce
and death records after 50 years as part of the public domain.To read the bill go

3. New Jersey A 326 on access to vital records has been further amended to permit
anyone in the newsmedia to be able to obtain informational or non-certified copies
of vital records.
