I am attempting to help a friend who is searching for his father's
family. His father's Naturalization Certificate states that he came

from a town called "Elanca, Czecho-Slovakia." Does anyone have any

idea what town this may be referring to? His father told him that it
was near a large city (but never mentioned the name of the large
city.) The family name is now DAVIS and he doesn't know what it was
at the time of immigration.

I would appreciate any help anyone can give me.
