Some people feel that because they spent so much time, effort, and
money creating their tree, gathering documents, visiting cemeteries
and archives, interviewing people, following every lead, that they
don't want to give their information to just anyone who asks for it.
This is understandable.
Some people are worried about privacy considerations if they don't
know you. I have those questions, too, about some people that contact
me. That is why I am leery to post to genealogical social networking
sites without strict privacy rules because I don't want someone's in-
laws (or out-laws) looking at live people's information.
Anyway, as a prior poster wrote, don't dwell on it and move on.
Perhaps you can recreate what you don't have on your own.
