Sitzensdorf in Thuringia was the site of a 1944/45 forced labor camp for
Mischlingen, i.e. persons with both Jewish and non-Jewish parentage. Of the
total 203 survivors, most were Germans but there were also a few Dutch,
French and Belgian prisoners. Thanks to Alan Seid and Barbara Elkeles who
entered this information >from an immediate postwar list available at the
USHMM, these names will shortly appear on Jewishgen.
