I saw on a gravestone of a man who married into my family) a name that appears to
be aleph-lamed-yud-ches (Aleph is the first letter in the name.) Is this a given
name, or have I mis-read one or more of the letters? Thanks.

P.S. This person married someone >from the Grodno, Belarus area, so I assume that he
came >from the same area.
