JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen what town is this? #general
An immigrant to the US, my grandmother's father (Nathan GINDEN) refused to say
what town he came from. I can't find naturalization petitions or papers for
him (I'm not sure he was ever naturalized).
Just the other day I thought of looking for information >from my grandmother's
brothers. I found the World War I draft registration form for one of them,
Albert GINDEN, who had been born in the Russia.
I've posted it on Viewmate:
On line 5 of the left-hand page, he has written the name of the his town in
Russia. Can anyone decipher it? I've included the entire registration
form so that you can draw inferences >from similar-looking letters.
Please put responses on the viewmate form below the image.
Thanks very much!
