A July 1940 Hungarian ID certificate shows my grandfather Baruch
(Bernat) GLUCK to have been born in Veresmart, now named Velikaya
Kopanya and located about 8 miles west of Khust, Ukraine, on January
15th 1884, the son of Herman (Meyer Hersch) Gluck and Sari Wiezel.
However, I have been unable to discover much more about my
great-grandparents, and nothing about their ancestors.

If anyone
else has been researching this village and may have come across any
further information that could be of help, I should very much like to
hear >from them.
