JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen Meaning of First Name "Jeko" from Poland 1920s #general
I think Jeko is a misreading of the name 'Icko'. Poland's records were in
russian >from 1867 to 1920. The cyrillic 'j' is pronounced in english like an
'i', the cyrillic 'c' looks like an 'e'. I could confirm this if you scanned
an old document in polish or russian to me.
