JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen Congregation Mishkan Israel, New Haven, CT - 19th cent. #general

An update of my file has been uploaded to FTJP.
With the help of Werner Hirsch's "Encyclopedia of New Haven Jews", and
"New Haven, CT Cemetery Inscriptions", I could include many more
Connecticut family links into my FTJP file #189705. Too bad that FTJP
is not really searchable for a place like New Haven, so try relevant
last names.

In most cases we are talking about marriages among the members with
German background of 19th cent. congregation Mishkan Israel.

Be aware of change of spellings, like: STRAUSS > STROUSE, STRAUS;
FRIEDMANN > FREEDMAN; GRUENBAUM > GREENBAUM; GUTMANN > GOODMAN; BLUM >
BLOOM; PRETZFELDER > BRETZFELDER; etc.

Information about further connections is welcome.

researching in New Haven, CT specially WEIL, STRAUSS/STROUSE, FRANKS,
FREEDMAN, GOODMAN, GREENBAUM, JACOBS, LOEB, LYONS, LOEWENSTEIN, MAYER,
MYERS, MARCUS, MARQUSEE, PAGTER, ROSENFELD, ...

MODERATOR NOTE: The FTJP search function seems to have trouble with
two-word town names, but a search for the town name "Haven" brings
up 1000 matches, at least some (most?) of which are for New Haven.
