The Schaechter is the schochet.
The Konfessionsschule or Bekenntnisschule is a school for children of a
certain confession / denomination: protestant, catholic, Jewish. In certain
periods and regions/states the elementary and higher schools were completely
run as a Konfessionsschule. Today they exist as private schools in addition
to the state or community organized schools.
