Jewish Genealogical Society of Sacramento Meeting

Topic: Immigration and Naturalization Records

Speaker: The Immigration and Naturalization Service, or INS, no longer exists.
What does this mean for genealogy research? Lynn Brown will discuss how to
determine when your ancestor immigrated, what records are available and how to
locate them. Learn what has replaced the INS and how this can affect and improve
your efforts to uncover alien, naturalization and related records.

Lynn has been a family historian for more than 35 years and has an extensive
background in both computer and genealogy research. Currently she is a volunteer
with the Sacramento Regional Family History Center and has recently retired >from
teaching genealogy research skills in several local school districts. Lynn has
lectured throughout the Central Valley and owns a genealogical counseling
business called Family-Quest.Com.

The January 16 meeting will be held at the Albert Einstein Residence Center, 1935
