If you have ancestors >from Ostroh (Ostrog), Ukraine, look for a message
from Mel Werbach (mel@...), our new Ostrog Town Leader. Mel and
Allan Dolgow obtained a 1795 Census for Ostroh. I am pleased to announce
that JewishGen has created a fundraising project to pay for translating
this Census. Look for a message >from Mel, coming soon. He will describe
the project and will tell you how you can help.
Ostroh was a significant Jewish town in Ukraine, yet we do not have a
KehilaLinks website for the town. We need a volunteer to create a
KehilaLinks site that can serve as a home for all the new information
being developed for Ostroh. JewishGen makes it fast and easy to create a
website. We need a volunteer to step up and do it. If you are willing to
volunteer, please contact me (rddpdx@...) or Chuck Weinstein
(chuck.weinstein@...). Chuck is Ukraine SIG's Towns and
Districts Director. We will get you started and JewishGen will show you
how to use ready made templates for the website.
I'm looking forward to hearing >from you.
