JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen 1940 US Census (Great Uncle Herman GANZ) #general

I found my Gr Uncle, Herman GANZ, in the US WW2 draft registration cards,
age 54, living in Philadelphia, Pa, at 965 Marshall St. I tried the 1930
Census no luck. But now I had a lead. At last, I would with determination
find my elusive uncle.

I found the En# 51-389, image 1 frame 1105, roll 3698. I knew that he was
born in Aus/Hungary and had immigrated to the USA in 1914. His address on
Marshall St was between Grand Ave and Poplar.

But now, I thought that I would get the info about his wife and daughter.
I knew that he had a drygoods store, but he had always been an unknown
for me. I knew nothing about his life in the US.

He died in Israel. So I had the beginning and the end, So I scrolled thru
20 pages. The was no 965 Marshall St. No Herman GANZ, no wife and daughter.

So my question is: Is there anyone out there in Philadelphia, PA who
remembers a drygoods store on Marshall Ave #965 ??
