The archives of the biggest World War II deportation of French Jews are
being opened up to public view for the first time. It coincides with the
70th anniversary of the Vel' d'Hiv roundup by Paris police of some 13,000
Jews over two days--July 16-17, 1942 before being bused to the French
camp at Drancy and then taken by train to Auschwitz death camp.
They are being show Paris Jewish District City Hall starting July 19.
