JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen Re: searching info on uncle who died mysteriously in Baltimore Md mid-1960's #general

Janice asked about finding a death in Baltimore in the early 1960's.

You can search Baltimore death index on-line at:
http://mdvitalrec.net/cfm/dsp_search.cfm
Select Baltimore City Death Index - Health Department, Bureau of Vital
Statistics (Death Record, Index) 1875-1972 MSA CE 42
The names are by soundex code, not strictly alphabetical, and grouped
by 2-year interval. It lists age of person, which should be helpful.

Also, http://pqasb.pqarchiver.com/baltsun/advancedsearch.html
Baltimore Sun archive. You can search for free, but the articles are
not. I would imagine you could find a library that has this for free
on their computers.

You can't always tell what the article is >from the headline on the
free search, you really have to see the entire page to know what
other articles will come up on the page.

I did a quick search for Henry Friedman (in quotes) and came up with
several hits in the early 60's timeframe.
