Oregon HB 2093 which the genealogical community was successful in getting
amended in the House to not extend the embargo dates for birth records to
125 years nor marriage and death records to 100 years has been signed by
Oregon Governor Kitzhaber. Birth records remain at 100 years and marriage
and death records at 50 years. The remainder of the 2011 Model Vital Records
Act provision that was being proposed in HB 2093 were included.
